Do Disrupt. How To Have Great Ideas Faster. (Bristol - September)

  • Canopy & Stars at Crane 29 Princes Wharf, Wrapping Rd. Bristol BS1 4RN (map)

Everyone Wants To Disrupt

Companies rarely change too early. They almost always change too late. So how do you create a ‘never stand still’ culture? How do you have better ideas and test them faster? Because right now your biggest competitor is in his underpants, with his headphones on, eating a bowl of Cheerios, while writing a piece a code that will turn your industry upside down. So, how do become nimble, agile, and fast? This workshop will show how you think and behave to help you disrupt your business, in order to ensure your company's biggest successes are in the future, and not in the past.

10 things you will learn:

Why you should cannibalise your business before your competitor does.

How to create a culture of “Sprints”.

What you can learn from a crisis management. And why it will help you.

Why Nike created the Ekins.

Why side projects matter.

Why you need to be a speedboat.

10 Signs that you’re not changing fast enough.

Why setting unrealistic deadlines will help you.

How to be the pirate on the inside of a big ship.

Why you need to have more parties.

Canopy & Stars at Crane 29. Three years of planning and design, three weeks of build and just 200 very lucky guests, Canopy & Stars at Crane 29 is an utterly unique, beautifully conceived treehouse built around one of Bristol Harbourside’s iconic cargo cranes. Created and curated by Bristol-based Sawday’s Canopy & Stars, the experts on special holiday experiences in the great outdoors, Canopy & Stars at Crane 29 is part art installation, part architectural wonder. Thought to be the first of its kind in the world, this low-impact build, is completely carbon neutral and built using sustainable materials. The treehouse will grace Bristol’s skyline for just four months before disappearing in early October, as the first leaves fall from the trees, but not before leaving the world a little greener -  all profits from the treehouse will be donated to Friends of the Earth
