When: Thursday May 18th, 2017 (One day workshop)
Key areas: Start-ups & reinvention, purpose, ideas, marketing
There has never been a better time to start a brand. There has never been a cheaper time, either. But when everyone has the same free tools as you, how do you stand out? The answer is simple enough: By learning how to use those tools with greater skill than anyone else. This workshop will provide some key insights and examples.
How do you beat Goliath? It won’t be by out-spending them. But it will be by out-thinking them. It will also come from understanding what you are going to change. Understanding your purpose is one thing, how to make that mean as much to your customer as it does to you is another important insight worth knowing. The workshop will take you through this.
David Hieatt is not a theorist. He has built brands from nothing with next to nothing just by understanding a few basic rules. He is co-founder of DO Lectures and Hiut Denim, author of Do Purpose and Path of a Doer and the originator of a number of other successful entrepreneurial ventures in the UK, many of which are regularly featured and awarded in the media. David and his wife Clare have been described as “some of the UK’s most interesting creative entrepreneurs.” Over the years, they have both been a great source of inspiration and encouragement to us and David was one of the earliest visitors to farm while we were in renovation mode.
The workshop is perfect for anyone thinking of starting (or who have recently started) a business, as well as more experienced entrepreneurs looking for new ideas and perspectives.
