Announcing: The Do Lectures Costa Rica--an intellectual, tropical safari

Imagine brining all the magic of The Do Lectures to a tropical forest, up high on a hill surrounded by lush trees and a panoramic view of the Costa Rican Pacific Ocean. That’s what Javier Carda and Sebastian Castro envisioned back in November 2014, only days before they were talking with The Do Lectures founder David Hieatt to explore the possibility of bringing The Do Lectures to Latin America for the first time; and help the region dig up all its potential.

Sebastian brought to the table his trusted friend Pablo Jenkins, think tank founder and impact investor, to visualize how to tropicalize the transformational Do experience. They explored the country for the perfect place, until they arrived to Puerta a la Vida (Door to life in Spanish), where they were certain they’d found it. Edward Zaydelman, a passionate community builder, was the brain behind “Puerta”, an organic farm and community that The Do Lectures Costa Rica now calls home.

Less than a month after, the boys found themselves travelling down-under to attend Do Lectures Australia and meet the Aussie Do ‘Croo’. That was the turning point, the final push to jump off the cliff, the time to DO it! Even if time was ticking, it felt right to follow their instinct.

And so, it became reality. We are proud to announce that Do Costa Rica 2015 will take place from July 9-12! The team is working hard, tents are going up and speakers are being announced.

Now we only need you to dream and create once again, by our side.

So if you ever were drawn to the country that Forbes calls “the happiest and most bio-diverse on Earth”… now is the time to come discover it by signing up to the magic of The DO Lectures Costa Rica.

It’s time for Pura Vida (a traditional Costa Rican saying for Pure Life!)
